Hi,
I created a solid using form modeling and added instance data to the same. In the Datagroup Explorer, it shows up as a column but the other parameters like length or area, volume etc is not populated.
Am I doing something wrong while creating the geometry or is this the way "Add Instance Data" works.
Is there any other way to add parameters also to the component, cos' in the instance data dialog box, there is no place to add dimensional values like length etc.

Adding Instance Data does not make the object parametric (convert into a DG object) therefore you will not be able to schedule out dimensions. Add instance data is a manual process and will require that you update fields manually to reflect object properties if the object is modified.
