I am looking for a way to redirect the help [?] button to a custom help guide that supports our custom GUI and environment. Prior to the .154 release of AECOSim ABD we were able to place an index file into a folder that would redirect the user. This folder structure has changed and placing the index file in the new structure does not work.
I have been through all of the help configuration variables and none seem to accomplish my end goal, which is have the user click help and point to"http://www.customhelpsite.com"
The current configuration is as followsSystem Info:Window 8AECOsim Building Designerv10.00.00.154
MS_HELPLOAD_APPLICATION = HTMLHelpMS_HELPLOAD_CONTENTSPAGE = index.html (Where is the rest of the URL fed from? this is what I need to gain access to)MS_HELPLOAD_HOSTEDHEPL_TOPICPAGE = &docID=%lsMS_HELPLOAD_TOPICPAGE = %ls.htmlMS_HELPLOAD_USEBROWSER = 1MS_HELPPATH = $(MSDIR)docs\ (C:\Program Files\Bentley\AECOsim CONNECT Edition\AECOsimBuildingDesigner\Docs)
I have redirected the index.html to http:\\www.google.com and received the following 404 error. See image below.

We simply need to provide the system with a URL or direct path to local HTML pages that holds our help guide. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
MTH
MTH,
I'm looking into the Customize Ribbon option to see if we can re-direct the Help icon to use your help file (URL).
I'll provide more information as soon as I possibly can.
Thanks,
Larry
Help is handled behind the scenes at a level users don’t have access to. The url’s & links are not exposed.
Please file a Service Request and I'll open a Enhancement to request it.
Larry,
Thank you for your fast response. I will forward this information to the project manager and let him determine when the service request will be filed. This is concern is one of the lower priorities for us right now, and will most likely wait on filing this particular request.
Thanks again
