DataGroup System Validator

Hello,

When I open the AECOsim Connect Edition, I will get the warning mesages from the DataGroup System Validator Window that  16 Definition files referenced by Catalog Types were not found (As the below picture). So, Could you please tell me what is the cause of that warning messages and how can I solve it ?

Thank you so much

It's not correct formulation, it's fortunately one file only (AirHandling.xsd) referenced by several Catalog Types.

The message is clear I guess: The file AirHandling.xsd is not found. It can be caused by really missing file or wrong workspace configuration (but in such case I guess there will be more similar messages).

You should specify what AECOsim BD version do you use: There have been released original version, Update 1 and recently also Update 2. Also please specify what dataset you use.

Check whether the file exists on your disk. On my computer with ABD Update 2 and Neutral Metric dataset installed, I found this file in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsim CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_NM\DataGroupSystem\, so I guess the location should be similar accordingly to used dataset.

  • Hello Jan,

Previously, I used AECOsim BD originial version and I have changed to Update 2 with US dataset as your suggestion. But I still get the same warning messages from DataGroup System Validator.

Moreover ,I also found that file (AirHandling.xsd) in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsim CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_US\DataGroupSystem\

I do not know why I still have this problem.

    Thank you in advance

    Best Regards,

  • Hi REI,

I have changed to Update 2 with US dataset as your suggestion.

Well, I did not suggested it, but this is good change, becuase every Update brings something new (both bugs repaired and new bugs ;-).

Did you upgrade the installation or you unistalled everything and installed it from scratch? I have not US dataset installed, but maybe there was bug in the original version and the dataset was not replaced during the upgrade?

I do not know why I still have this problem.

As I wrote, I have not US dataset installed, but I recommend to check how .xsd file reference is defined in files where the error is reported and if the .xsd file has proper access rights and content.

    With regards,

      Jan
