I'm trying to create a grid system for three different buildings but I keep receiving an error? The following exception occurred in the DataGridView: System.ArgumentException: DataGridViewComboBoxCell value is not valid. To replace this default dialog please handle the DataError event.
Gerard Georges,
In which version of AECOsim Building Designer are you seeing this?
Larry
Hi Larry
SS6
Just a thought...
The Grid Systems are stored in BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib. Has the DGNLIB in your project been carried forward form an earlier version or copied from your SS6 regional project template?

Thank you guys for your responses. We had an overzealous CAD manager who created certain permissions to individual files. (managed PW workspace) once I changed my permission to the grid file I was able to edit the file.
But I would like to know, Do you have to set up the floor manger first before creating the grid system?
Ah good to hear it was that simple.
Yes, the grids are generated by each floor. The floors to which the grids apply can be changed when necessary as the project proceeds. You can also apply different grids to groups of floors, e.g. lower floors may have larger floor plates than upper floors. We have tried to cover many possible options based on examples from a number of our users with quite demanding use cases. Note there is also the sketch grid option for irregular grids.
