We have placed several call outs through the project to develop enlarged plans etc. The client standards request that the call out symbol must have rounded corners. We have use the standard square shape when we initially placed them.
Please tell me there is a way to redefine the shape?

Please follow the following steps:
1. Create the shape of your requirement using Smartline tools.
2. Select 'Place Detail Callout' tool, use 'Select Existing Boundary' option as shown in the image below.
3. Select the shape that you have created. You'll get Call Out symbol as per your requirement.
thanks Tathagata for the reply, I am already aware of this function, our problem is that we have already placed the square call outs in all our drawings. We need to change it to rounded corners.
Is it possible to change the look after its already placed?
Not aware if it is at all possible to change the shape after the call out has been placed.
Correct - once placed, the callout is a cell that includes simple geometry, a clip volume, links, etc.. But like any other cell the geometry within it is not editable (aside from symbology) without first dropping it. But it doesn't look like they can be dropped either.
This is a semi-cheesy workaround, but it might suffice?
- Change the level of the existing callout's shape using Building Element Info > More Info
- Place a new shape with the desired appearance using the callout shape's original level
- Turn off the display of the callout shape's new level
You should be left with what looks like the right shape with all of the links intact. Would that work in a pinch?
