GBXML Export not working with Bentley Architecture

I have a consultant that has requested a gbXML file and can not get the export gbXML to work. For a simple example I put down four exterior walls, selected Export and I get to the gbXML, but the 'Export" button is greyed and does not allow me to chose it. I says it created the Energy Analysis Model, reports the time and then states "Named Group: Spaces not defined". What am I doing incorrect? Brian Thomas SelserSchaefer Architects

OK. Finally got something to work. You have to make sure you have a complete enclosure if you have a roof that is not at the floor level! Probably will have more questions as I work more with this. Brian

Shawn, I am not familiar with a 'Spaces' file? I have placed some "spaces" within the model, but that didn't work. Is the 'Spaces' file a separate .dgn/model that I need to setup? Brian

Brian: Do you have a spaces model referenced? I could be wrong, but I believe the gbXML toolset requires the Spaces along with the Geometry, so you would need to have your corresponding Spaces file with Room Name so you can push the proper room to the proper Zone.

Pradyna, Under the 'File Information' where should that be pointing? Currently it is pointed to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley\MicroStation\WorkSpace\projects\examples\000 SSA ArchProjectTemplateNcsUS\out\Empty-GBXML.xml There is no file called Empty-GBXML.xml in this location and when I hit browse it only allows me to 'Open' a file. Is this an issue? Brian
