DVs sections from ABD of a structural element like a slab it doesn’t cap the cut face when I open and activate the section callout in Microstation.
I’m not expecting to see unifications / hatching (or other fancy stuff) because I know Microstations doesn’t have Building Views and dataset family & parts like AECOsim
Just wondering if the described behavior is standard and not a problem with my setup.
See screen caps
Thanks

Forgot to add my setup version
AECOsim SS5
Microstation SS3
Cheers
The cut symbology in ABD is provided by families/parts so does not show dynamically in MicroStation.
For drawing cached views (the CE default) will present the symbology exactly as seen in ABD.
MicroStation has other techniques to symbolize cuts, applying patterns via element templates, for instance, but they don't have the same level of management that the family/part system provides.

Hi Marc,
Thanks for your answer but you really didn’t answered my question.
I know about element templates (they also available in AECOsim) and I know (in the 2D drawing) that if you cache your views then it will show exactly the same in Microstation that’s old news to me that’s why my example is a cut out section activated in the 3D model.
Also thanks for quoting me…

Hi Gilberto,
In your ABD example, picture a shape superimposed over the Cut Plane that is used to generate the pattern. When opened in plain MicroStation, it does not "know" that the shape + pattern exist since they're strictly a product of ABD reading the Family + Part assignment and generating that geometry on-the-fly. So what you end up with is your MicroStation example. I would imagine that if you were to place a new Section callout (using plain MicroStation) in the same vicinity of the existing ABD callout, you would get the same results.
