The model properties dialog box as we knew it the V8i version seems to be gone in Connect Edition, to be integrated in the other 'Properties' dialog as used when looking at element properties.
The button "Edit model properties" in the Models dialog window doesn't seem to work for me, when I try to use it, I get the message:
"Edit Model Properties > Identify element to add to set".
This doesn't seem to be correct? Is it just here or do other users have the same?
StefanC,
In which version of CONNECT Edition are you seeing this behavior? In Update 2, when I click the button, the Model Properties dialog opens.
Please let us know.
Thanks!
Larry
Model properties appear in the same Properties dialog as Elements (and some other things in CONNECT Edition such as File properties), maybe the dialog has got pushed out of sight. If you pick Element Properties does it show up?
Once you have the Properties dialog open the Model properties will just appear as soon as you highlight a model in the list.
Regards
Marc
Hi Larry, this is in Update 2.
Windows 10 pro
OpenBuildings Designer Connect Edition Update 10.10.01.151
Hi Marc,
I do get this dialog when I rightmouseclick on the model in the Model dialog and properties:
The one I was looking for is this one (screenshot from V8i):
But this may be replaced with the one in the previous screenshot in Connect?
Which one should show up using the "Edit model properties" button in the Models window? Neither of them show up, only the message center says: "Edit Model Properties > Identify element to add to set".
Stefan, you are correct that the v8i models dialog has been integrated into the element properties dialog box. You should find all of the same settings.
