This is not a big issue, since everything works fine, just an esthetic issue :-)
My View Orientation dialog sees to show old icons for some of them (top left and right):
Is this a general thing, or do I need to look for some mistake in a dgnlib (old icon somewhere still enclosed)?
Hi Stefan,
I have AECOsim Building Designer Connect Edition Update 2 and it has all the new Icons (none from older versions). Do you have Update 2?
Can anyone tell me which file ("AECOsim Buidling Designer") this is? (see screenshot).
I should be able to get into this file, since all toolbars below that one seem to be defined inside it, and I can change the icons in that one.
I can tell by the icon name (compared to the other items in the toolbar) it's linked to the wrong icon:
Windows 10 pro
OpenBuildings Designer Connect Edition 2023 | 23.00.00.114
Interesting... I certainly don't have an answer - I've done very little UI related work in CONNECT - but FWIW I see the same two "old style" icons in the Customize dialog except that I have the updated keyins for them. Odd.
As best I can tell, View Orientation is a legacy toolbar and View Rotation is used everywhere else - Ribbon Bar, View Windows, etc.
Hi Steve,
I have the feeling the icons for that tool bar are hard coded and can't be accessed/modified by the user.
I notice I have the same icons as you have in the View Rotation toolbar (the new ones), however, if we both have the old ones showing in the View Orientation toolbar, it must mean it's on Bentley's side to be changed. The toolbars look very simular, but the function differs, so definitly two independent tools.
Maybe the icons didn't get changed when converting the tools to Connect? It would be interesting tocheck with the programming team?
The View Orientation tools do seem to be specific to AECOsim, so perhaps it's best to log a Service Request for this so that support can further investigate and potentially file an Enhancement or Defect, depending how it pans out. View pun semi-intended. ;)
Hi Steve, Ok, I will make a SR, and then wait and see if it's fixed later on :-)
Thanks!
