We use the keynote utility extensively. After inputting all of our parameters and placing a keynote, all is well, except that the leader line comes of the lower left corner of the text, not at the left middle, see below.
I have tried editing the KEYNOT cell in the econdoc.cel library in the directory pointed to by TFKEY_DIR, by moving the place holder text down so the origin is at the midline. I have given the text the a LEFT CENTER justification. Nothing works. Perhaps this is related to the CONNECT property that makes the keynotes subject to annotation scale (which we don't need).
Please advise, as this makes the tool useless.
Griffith,
I've reproduced your situation. Please open a Service Request so that Enhancement 863070 can be linked to your site.
Thank-you,
Larry
Hello Larry--
Just got around to testing the CONNECT version of the keynote legend.
Unfortunately, placing a legend consistently crashes my file. I created an example file with just a paperspace and a few keynotes, which I attach. Any Ideas?
7080.1742 KEYNOTE TEST.dgn
(I was unable to attach the .spc file that contains the keynotes themselves)
Please file a Service Request so I can attach it to the Enhancement I opened.
Thanks Griffith,
Here is an update on this issue, for which service request 7000760148 has been filed.
I spent a while today with Gerard of Bentley Support investigating this.
Both his out-of-the-box Connect Update 2, and my networked Connect Update 1 versions crash when the place legend tool is invoked, all using the delivered keynote support files. A .knt file is created, of zero size; the log stops while indicating "scanning"; the software exits without further warning.
This is a fundamental flaw in the operation of this tool, and not a request for enhanced services.
I would appreciate any insight as to how to get this tool to work, as it is a fundamental part of our Architectural workflow and worked perfectly in SS6.
I note that the Connect versions are advertised as bringing the annotation scale functionality to keynotes. Is it possible that this added function requires additional settings somewhere?
Has anyone else experienced anything like this, or any different results?
David Griffith
Hi David,
As for SR- 7000760148, I have tested the issue in an internal build of Update 3 (yet to be released) and keynote legend issue has been resolved. It's no longer getting crashed. We are expecting Update 3 to get released in a few days. Please keep an eye on the announcements, https://communities.bentley.com/products/building/building_analysis___design/f/aecosim-speedikon-announcements-forum#pi25858=1
