Is it possible to change the location that intermediate files are stored when creating imodels in ProjectWise? (either on a user or project level)
We always "remove intermediate files" when creating imodels so that the system does not get cluttered with imodels however this means publishing takes longer each time.
We have another problem in that currently many people creating imodels at once across the project. If two people get to the same reference file at the same time, the system creates the temporary file and locks this out which means that the second user cannot get to that file so the imodel creation fails.
Is it possible to repath this intermediate file location? We are using AECOsim SS6 and ProjectWise Connect update 2.
Hi Michael,
ProjectWise usually locks the file that is used by someone, for everyone else. If you create the intermediate files, then that would not create a problem as AECOsim is not going to delete the intermediate files afterwards. Currently, as far as I know, there is no option that would let you create the intermediate files in a different folder. Please file a Service Request, we would connect it to an Enhancement.
