I cant use duct or pipe tools; when I use ABD Mechanical or Plumbing Design tools, I get following errors: Part and Family Defined for configuration variable HVAC_FAMILY_DUCT_DEFAULT not found
Part and Family Defined for configuration variable BMECH_FAMILY_PLUMBING_DEFAULT not found
I have read a previous discussion about this issue and everything seems to be in place but still cant use these tools, any suggestions?
Regards,
Azhar
The errors normally mean that there is a different Family and Part name entered in those configuration variables than you have in your dataset. The following Wiki is an example of how it works. If you look at HVAC_FAMILY_DUCT_DEFAULT configuration variable, what Family and Part name is its value? Do you actually have this Family and Part available in your current Dataset?

Hi Robert, Thats the post I checked before writing my question. Both variables in the configuration has the correct values as per referenced post. I have tried adding dataset 'GB081109728' which is installed fine but doesnt solve the problem.
Thanks Robert, I have checked this variable and TFDIR_PART has the correct path to read parts file, any suggestions?
Hi Azhar,
That does look like the right folder. If you check that folder using Windows Explorer is it truly empty? By default the Ss5 GB dataset's \Part folder should look like the image Rob attached.
Hi Steve,
This folder is not empty (snapshot attached)
I have checked variables as well, they are pointing to this folder but still duct and pipe tools dont work, I get error messages as below:
I dont know where else to check; I have asked IT support at my company but they havent been able to resolve it yet.
Hi Robert/Steve,
I have got AECOsim SS5 reinstalled and it works fine now.
Thanks for your help/support.
