I created Building Named View and attach it to a sheet. After adding annotations and dimensions I have a floor plan.
Now I'd like to export it (make a snapshot) to 2D design file, that I can send out from the company, where it will be used as a normal 2D DGN file. I tried to copy elements with Copy Fence, but section graphics was not copied. What I did wrong?

Well, it is what I expected and what I'd like to avoid :-)
The reason is I don't want to maintain 2 different tools with a different workflow and settings at my customer's site. If there will be no solution, it seems to be better to don't use Dynamic View / Building Named View too much and to stay on drawing extraction tools.
BTW this behaviour is not consisten even with MicroStation: If you do fence copy at sheet, that was created by attaching saved view, the elements are copied from the fence. The vizualization style is lost, which is not very good, but at least somethin happen.

The way it should work is a dynamic view would transfer to electronically to Autocad andMicrostation without any 2nd step.
I waste alot of time each week - probably 3 hours translating my 2d files into Autocad
NOW I have to do this for my Microstation Engineers Also. My Structural has v8 and v7 Microstation and this wont change - all my other engineers have Autocad. And most firms I use across the US use Autocad.
Extractions did not have this issue with my MS Engineer.
I can't see him updating to V8i until he sees a need .
Yes that works - So does batch create - which is somehting I've had to endure to work with Autocad users.
I never thought I would have to work with Microstation users as if they were 3rd party software.
I still wast time every week on somehting that I should not have to. If this is the only approach then
this should be a feature I should be able to do with Schedulerer.
I forgot - I used to be able to do it with scheduler - but
I can't now
And at the time I was limited to a saved batch job that changed every day as I added new files every day
