How to Over Ride IFC Parameter Mapping on Export

I am looking for help in how exactly to use the IFC_ExportOverrides.set file for export of IFCs from AECOsim.

I am finding that Data is being exported from the Family and Parts and being used as the material where as I would like the material to be driven from the Datagroup setting. As you can see below the Family Part "DrilledPier" has been used at the core instead of the Datagroup Material.

What mapping would I use to over write this on export?

  • Hi Tathagata,

I am keen to understand whats pushing the Family Part information over the DG information.

Ideally the material on the "Identifications" tab should be from the DG mapping not Part mapping.

Is there a definition of what can be remapped on export?

In the IFC file the "Structural Usage" material which comes from the DG group is set as an IFCpropertySingleValue.

the only entry in the file defined as IFCMATERIAL is the "DrilledPier" entry which is coming from the Part. This only exists once.

So this is not a Solibri reading the file incorrectly it is purely reading what is in the IFC !! This would seem to be "hard Coded" In the export.

Can this be remapped? or added to the mapping options?
