Hi all,
Is there any way to import RFA files into Microstation?
I have found one command few weeks ago to do it, but I lost my work history due to reinstalling software.
Anybody can help?
Thanks
Tom
Hi Tomasz,
sorry to be a little picky but please be careful with your writing. This is the AECOsim Forum and if your question is about AECOsim then please dont call it MicroStation.
Now the reason I am being so precise is because the way you asked the first question and the subsequent second question are cross mixing MicroStation and AECOsim
MicroStation Connect Edition
There is a command that allows you to place an RFA cell directly into your model. This cell would NOT have Datagroup information. You can get too it via the backstage.
The keyins are "import rfafile". The object properties will appear as ecschema data in the items browser.
AECOsim.
Again from the backstage their is an import command import RFA to catalog
This will allow to create a datagroup entry linked to the cell with the properties in the datagroup system. this uses the keyin "TFPACELL Wizard" as Tathgata suggested. if you use the wizzard its should answer your question about placing cells directly from the datagroup catalog.

Hi Brenden,
Thank you for your post.
This way to import RFA's looks stunning for me.
Unfortunately my Bentley package cannot recognize this command.
Please see my AECOsim version below:
Is any way to upgrade my version to make this command available?
Many thanks
Tomasz,
Mea Culpa, IN 866, one of the keyins is different please see below each image

Ok so the nature of this thread has changed and you need you to understand why some cells are failing. Please file a service ticket so we can track the issue if necessary.
In the meantime please share the file here and also tell me are the failing rfas the same Revit generation version as the the ones that succeed.
This issue is being looked into via SR 7000799910.
Please let me know if you did not receive my email.
Thank-you,
