When placing a Concrete Beam, I get the option to choose a section by "recent", "library" or "new".
When defining a new section, you define the Dimensions (____ x ____) in mm's.
I notice when I enter 2 values, it's not fixed to define the 1st one being the width and the 2nd being the height. I have the feeling the program choses this randomly?
This causes the need to change the placement point and rotate the section, and (in case of changing an existing beam) the need to rotate the changed beam by 90°.
Hi,
Please have a look at the screenshot from the 'Help' document.
Hope this clarifies your concern.
Hi
It is as expected, only when I enter for example 200 x 600, sometimes I would get:
width: 200 + length: 600
or:
width: 600 + l length: 200
It's like it randomly switches both.

Do you see any type of pattern when the dimensions are reversed?
So far I haven't.
I just tried entering 200 x 600 as a new column shape ten times using the NM dataset, restarting the tool each time, but could not get the dimensions to flip. Is it only at the time you're creating the new section that you see this or is it when placing the new section after the fact?
I noticed it when ceating a new section. That way I'm never sure which direction it'll point.
Odd... I'm still not sure what to make of it since in my limited testing I simply couldn't reproduce that result. If you can think of any other details or patterns it may help narrow things down.
