When we analyse an element in building element info we get a tab for parametric which we have a button to edit.
How do I control which parametric app opens.
If I click edit mostly it open the element in Parametric cell studio (which I am not to familiar with because I cant fine quality tutorials) but sometimes the same element will open Parametric Frame builder.
How can I have control over what app opens?
Hi Steve,
If you mean selecting a cell of a different format then yes, the Parametric | File Type property can (and should) be changed on-the-fly to match that new cell's format.
Hi Steve and Steve,
I suspect that Steve H was hoping that the cell type, and therefore the application used to edit it, could be changed by changing a cell's type in the catalogue. That is not possible because they are totally different cell types created with different tools. PAZ with Parametric Cell Studio, BXF with the older frame builder, and BXC with the Compound Cell tools.
Having been away from AECOsim for a while (5 years on the dark side), what happens with Revit families that can now be imported? Can they be edited/modified, or simply have their parameters changed?
And nice to see you're still around Mr Cocchi
Hi Dennis,
Long time, no talk! Good you see you around again. :)
Regarding Revit RFA's, their DataGroup properties can be modified after being added as Catalog Items, but the cells themselves have no editable parametrics since the source geometry is external to ABD.
