How can I put 2d section symbols for ducting and piping symbols in AecoSim when using dynamic views. I saw it when I model a wall in Architect. But when I create a duct. The hatch doesn't appear. Is there a tutorial to create this?
Hi Andy,
Can you elaborate on what you'd like to do? You mentioned 2D symbols for duct and piping, but then also included a reference to hatching which is typical for a wall.
Hello Andy,
I assume the attached image is what you are looking for?
Section cut symbols for mechanical are controlled by the family and part. Open the Family/Part Editor. Go to the Mechanical Part > Duct. Change the Parts View to Cut Patterns and then right click on a part and select Properties to get the dialog in the image. Ensure the Cut Pattern Type is activated and that Patterns is checked.
The DS0XXX are the cells that are included in AECOsim for Duct and Pipe symbols.
Lastly, make sure the Drawing Symbols are checked in the drawing.
Hope this helps you
Joel
