Create Display Set in Level Display window is not working

Hello!

I have used a lot right-click command "Create Display Set" in Level Display window in AECOsim Ss6 previously, but in AECOsim CONNECT edition Update 3 it seems to be broken. The option is still there and is clickable but nothing happens when clicked. Can somebody confirm that it is broken and it is not a problem of my current installation? And if it is a bug, then can you fix this for coming release?

Broken option in Level Display Window in AECOsim CE Update 3

All the best,

Kristjan.

  • Hi Kristjan,

You are correct, this does seem to be a defect. Could you please raise a Service Request for this so that we can take this further into consideration.

  • I have looked further into this issue and compared ABD SS6 with CONNECT Edition.  There is Defect 853840: ABD Screen Menu uses the same hardcoded sequence ( Shift+Ctrl+Reset) to access default view controls which includes quickset and displayset options, not avaialable anywhere else.

Otherwise, MicroStation has changed the way Displayset is accessed as you have already seen.  ABD uses this tool as it is built on MicroStation PowerPlatform and cannot change how it works.

In MicroStation CONNECT Edition you need to select all elements you want in your display set then ( Shift+Ctrl+Reset) to select "Displayset Set" in the menu.  Then only those elements will be displayed, or select elements and then use the "Displayset" tool box instead.

It is correct that it now works differently in both MicroStation and ABD CONNECT Edtion where you cannot right click in Level Display dialog box on any level to select that level for the DisplaySet.
