1. After placement of steel deck I am unable to edit shape/extent, or place any penetrations in the slab. Only way is to delete and remodel.
2. Modify properties does not work. immediately after placement if I right click on the deck, there is no option for modify properties, only Building element info. Additionally, selecting modify properties from the ribbon then selecting the deck does nothing.
3. Symbology - Elements within the deck do not reflect the correct parts levels meaning I have to open building element info and drill down into each deck to update the part level attributes. .
4. Unable to match properties from existing deck, have to re-enter manually every time.

In U3 I was at least able to select the deck and edit the extents via handles. I was unable to add or edit penetrations in U3 either.
I updated the dataset with the U4 release.
If you're not even getting the Modify Structural Deck command in the right-click menu, it would seem that perhaps the deck was dropped or the definition no longer exists? Just guessing out loud.
For the first two items I've attached a short video showing what you should be seeing - edit handles allowing the outer boundary to be modified, and the Construct Opening tool allowing openings to be generated.

the videos I make all seem to be to large for upload!
However, on a bit of further digging. If I place a deck from boundary it gives me the edit handles, though I am unable to create penetrations still.
Creating from shape does the same.
Now....
If I place a composite Deck, no handles show and no penetrations possible. Could you try this please.
Would also be good if I was able to use a group hole as the selection shape but this is not possible.
This a compound Sine Wave deck placed By Shape from the UK dataset, with an opening and edit handles. You cannot place something similar from Update 4?
