I am constantly having to redo the layout of the column bubbles on my plans. they are set as I'd like them and then they tend to reset. I do have the plans "Cach" updating when I open to work in a file but sometimes they stay as they were and then sometimes they don't
For what it's worth: I noticed the same behaviour. When I edit the location, they often seem to reset to the 'default' layout. So it's not an isolated problem.

So as Tathagata asked, is there any pattern as to when the grid bubbles change location? Since they are essentially like annotation in the Drawing Model, I'm curious whether any auto-annotation is behaving in the same fashion.
No pattern I am OK at the moment but in fear hopien gI do not have to update the grid
It occurred when I changed the grid by adding new lines

Hmmm... Perhaps this is related to the annotation aspect then. Say you had a door ID annotation cell already used in a Drawing Model and then modified that door cell definition. In order to get those existing annotation cells in the Drawing updated to the new "version" you'd have to regenerate them which would result in their default rule based locations. AFAIK grids work in a similar fashion.
Found the answer but not what I wanted to hear. If the Reference file gets reset then you lose all your adjustments to items like Grid dimensions, grid layout, doors and room names. The but in the grid was it moved to the wrong spot but if you move it two more times it sticks
