Replacing a Compound wall and it is in wrong direction

I have  used schematic CMU to create a building.

We are now updating the schematic walls with real walls..

Where I have a Split-Faced Block (texture is always side only)

I create a nice wall with two parts so that you know which side is rough side

If I draw to the right it is on the top and draw to the left on the bottom

so far so good

The problem is when I replace the existing wall with the New wall

Sometimes the are correct and some time the wall are flipped - in hte wrong direction

It all depends on how the wall was origianlly placed.

HOW DO I CHANG ETHE DIRECTION OF THE WALL SO THAT THE ROUGH SIDE IS ON THE CORRECT SIDE

My work around is to have to walls - one for lefty and one for righty  - but now I am not BIM compliant as it messes with a take-off of materials

  • Before updating the schematic wall, you can view the direction  or change the direction of the wall using the tools available in Modify form tools.

    1. You could use "Show Form Orientation" tool to display the direction of wall on screen

    2. You could use " Modify Form Orientation" tool to change the direction of the schematic wall.

    Form Orientation

By chance if the schematic wall is already updated with a compound wall, you could still change the direction of the compound wall using the flip in place handle that appears when the compound wall is selected.
