Hi all,
I have noticed that all the AECOsim related learning material has disappeared from the learn server (learn.bentley.com). Has this been done by mistake? It was a very helpful source of information that should be always available.
As you can see, AECOsim has disappeared from the left side pannel.
Please if someone else from Bentley can do something about it, we were using these resource to self-teach ourselves.

As initially announced at YII, "AECOsim" has been rebranded as "OpenBuildings" so that is what you will need to enter in the search field. FWIW, this is the same across similar pages such as Software Downloads - typing "aecosim" will return OpenBuildings. Note that the existing products are still AECOsim Building Designer since they've already shipped, though that will change beginning with CONNECT Edition Update 5.

Thanks. I was not aware of this change, and think some of the userbase is not (at least what I asked around and I work with a couple of people who are Microstation or AECOsim users for years).
As of now, if you type "aecosim" in the search box OpenBuildings does not show up, just "AECOSim Building Designer Trial".
This is only my feedback and something I think could be corrected.
A better solution would be to rename "OpenBuildings" to "OpenBuildings (previously AECOSim Building Designer", that way both results will appear in the search box. Or at least add some text in bold letters that clearly says that AECOSim has been renamed.

Thanks, mkb. We do have a few LEARN folks perusing this forum so they may be able to better address how the search function works in a case like this where a product(s) has been rebranded. FWIW, this is new for support folks too.

Let's tell it openly: There is nothing like "search function" available in Bentley LEARN server, when evaluated what "search web content" means today. It's more like index-based option menu designed around end of previous century.
Bentley webs unfortunately often represent how web design and UX should not be implemented, but Bentley LEARN server is the worst. No way to find anything meaningful in seconds (no full text search is multiplied by extreme slowness) directly, but step by step selection has to be narrowed hoping it will lead to expected results.
Even from many Bentley people I have received direct links to trainings because "it's a bit complicated to find it" :-(

AECOsim is now listed as OpenBuildings, hovering over OpenBuildings in the list now displays the list shown in this screen capture:
Clicking on OpenBuildings in the main list will get you the Learning Paths for OpenBuildings (AECOsim), Generative Components, Energy Simulator. OpenBuildings SIGs, etc.
Note that the Learning Paths for AECOsim are now listed as ...OpenBuildings Designer (AECOsim)... as seen in this screen capture:
The LEARN server is automatically applying the CONNECT Edition generation filter. Changing the filter to V8i will present earlier Learning Paths.
That will get the Learning Paths that preceded the re-branding to OpenBuildings. A lot of these sessions are the same, simply copied over to OpenBuildings Learning Paths, for example the QuickStarts.
Included in the OpenBuildings (AECOsim) CONNECT Edition list are:
Setting the generation filter to V8i will list the 3D and BIM Essentials (listed in the Welcome Learning Paths for CONNECT Edition), QuickStarts, Fundamentals, Intermediate Workflows, Advanced Workflows and more.
The OpenBuildings content team is moving forward developing new material for OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition that will supersede a lot of the earlier AECOsim V8i material including new features introduced in CONNECT Edition and the same information on tools and workflows from the earlier AECOsim V8i versions albeit with any updates to workflows, e.g., using the ribbon interface introduced in Bentley CONNECT Edition applications.
With the advent of OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition the LEARNING Paths will contain a mix of the earlier AECOsim V8i content and new OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition content.
