Yes, we hope to have Update 5 released a few weeks after the upcoming MicroStation Update 12 release (on which Update 5 is based).

And yes, Update 5 should be the first release using the new "OpenBuildings Designer" product name.

Will Update 5 resolve the “Priority“ issue when being printed ?

Where elements printing order was the order they had been put into the model and won’t change when given a different priority value.

Sorry, I thought I had already replied but apparently that was not the case...    That defect was originally slated for the Update 5 release, but development hit a few snags along the way so I believe it has been pushed out to Update 6.

So ABD cannot be released until MicroStation CE Update 12 is released. And when it will happen nobody knows :-(

Update 12 was promised to be released around end of 2018, but it did not happen and Update 12 is not available yet, so there is nearly 2 months delay. As usually, Bentley are very cryptic when the released is expected and what is causing the delay, but but from other discussions my feeling is that Update 12 would be released within few days, but within few weeks at max. When you add another few weeks for ABD Update 6, I think we can talk about early April?

We have a second computer with U2, in which the problem isn't showing, to print. Quite a workaround...

But some people only have 1 computer, and even so, such a basic feature should be fixed ASAP, it's unbelievable you should use a 3 versions older release just to be able to print.

Hi Bentley, is there a plan to fix this soon?

Also anybody got some good workarounds that don't rely on a U2?

As mentioned above the fix is scheduled for MicroStation Update 13 which will be the platform for OpenBuildings Update6.   I believe the MicroStation release is tentatively scheduled for about a month or so from now, with OpenBuildings following a few weeks after.
