Hi All,
I am trying to set up some display rules to control the visibility of a whole group of levels depending on part of their name. I had hoped that i could do something like the following condition.
IF ELEMENT-Elements.Level contains (or begins with), A-Zz_20.... How would one perform this task?
In the help documentation is see the following drop down of operators available. See below:
However contrary to this, there are only four available operators in AECOsim. See below:
It also appears that wildcard characters are not accepted. What am i missing here?
Without this my rules criteria list is going to be crazy-long... see below.
(also notice the strange GUI behavour where the list covers the OK and Cancel buttons - maybe someone needs to review their programming!!)
As a side question, what is the purpose of grouping the criteria?... I don't see the point and help does not seem to explain it... at least it is not clear to me!
AECOsim SS6 + CONNECT U4, Windows 7 Pro, 64Bit, Intel Xeon E3-1275 v5 @ 3.6GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro P1000
Hi Joey, we need a "contains" condition in here. I have this question too and will find out if there is an alternative or if we are awaiting an enhnacement.
Marc
Marc, any development on this?
Also my question about grouping criteria?
Hi Joey,
In Display Rule dialog, you will see a Generate button, which will help you to create a set of conditions in a single GO.
For "Contains" like conditions we have already enhancement filed for MicroStation future updates. See image below
