Hi everybody,
I have a 3D Model which consists of a Master file with 41 Reference files.
I have to export all reference files to IFC.
Is there a way to export a bunch of files all at once?
Regards,
Christian
Christian, the standard export will include all the reference files during export. these will be merged into a single ifc file. Also please look at the Help file.regarding the batch processor and IFCOUT

Hello Brendon,
yes I know, but this is not what I need. I don't need the whole 3D Model Master file including references in one single IFC file.
I need every reference file in a single IFC file.
But to create all IFC files do I have to open each dgn file separately and export it in an IFC?
For this process I would prefer a tool like Batch Converter for DWG.
Hi Brenden, thanks for sharing. I am trying to run this batch process, but to you indicate the destination of the exported IFC files?

Sorry for the typo. ",but how do you.....
Hello Brian,The IFC output is defined by the configuration variable IFC_EXP_OUT. If you want to save it in a default location then you have to specify that in that configuration variable.

Hello Alifur,
I also came across the need for this last week. It was only 3 files so I ended up doing it manually. However I'd like to know a bit more for the next time I need it.
How to specify the 'Model view definition' and 'Mapping options'? It makes sense that the Spatial structure assignment must be set for each separate file (or left to default).
What about including reference files into the IFC export? Where to set that?
Example: $ ifcout "YourFolderName/$(basename(_DGNFILE)).ifc"
