Trying to place a curtain wall I receive the below error. The placement grid displays when I attempt to place the CW, but fails to produce any geometry.
I was initially working with a custom dataset_UK, however, I have also tried this with standard delivered Dataset_UK and I get the same result.
However, If I open the local installed Building Project, with the same Dataset_UK, then I am able to place and edit the CW.
Any ideas why a network install would not allow placement, or if any variables that relate to this are required???? (As stated in other posts, there is no Dataset_UK delta document so I have had to upgrade blind)

First time I tried the OBD place curtain wall I couldn't get any geometry then I noticed that the vertical spacing was set to 50mm, once I had put some realistic numbers into the Curtain Wall Parameters it worked and has done so ever since

currently using OBD 10.10.01.151
Thanks for the suggestion Ian. I think the issue is related, however, I am unable to change the values through the Place curtain wall tool. I can select and edit the text, but they just revert to the below when I hit return.
I can edit the catalog to change the numbers, however, I still cannot place the wall.
I have put your values in and was able to place using Curtain Wall Tool and able to play with different innards; louvres and spandrel panels etc
So not sure why you can't
Thanks for confirming Ian,
I can do this in the delivered BuildingTemplate_UK workset, but when I try from my networked worksets with the same dataset it just doesn't. Strange, but must be something in my config.
HI Duncan,
Could be that some of the changed files in the U5 UK dataset are nor present when you are in your configuration. I don't have a complete list yet, but the US dataset delta guide offers some direction.
Specifically for curtain walls since U4 we have updated:
"C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_UK\Cell\MullionProfiles.cel"
"C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_UK\DataGroupCatalogs\CurtainWall_Panels.xml"
"C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_UK\DataGroupCatalogs\CurtainWall_Frames.xml"
"C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_UK\DataGroupSystem\DisplayNames_Properties.xml"
Are these the files you are accessing from your workset?
