Hi,
Hopefully below is legible, i'm having issues with one model file in that it seems to be 'Generating "Tubular Solid" #3' for long periods of time causing the software to crash.
We are mandated to use V8i SS6 for the project. Is this issue an easy fix?
Regards.
Sam
Can you please explain the workflow during which this crash is taking place? Is it when you are creating some solids using Microstation Tools?
I believe some tools have been created with microstation, however the software crashed when I open the file, fit view or pan. Problem occurs with most small tasks but in the sheet file and drawing file only.
Hi Sam,
I'm trying to connect the two items in the Message Center in your image - one refers to generating a MicroStation Tubular Solid as mentioned in the subject, and the other to the Visibility Calculator - a backend process that typically takes place when opening a Drawing Model. It scans for visible components that require new and/or modified annotation since the last time that drawing was opened. But you're saying that the crash now occurs when opening the file?
Morning Steve,
I'm not sure what the issue is whether its tubular solids or the visibility calculator, i'm at a loss on this one. The crash / slow processing time occurs all of the time i.e panning in the drawing, switching between files zooming in and out.
Can you supply a copy of the file concerned? Either here or via a Service Request if confidentiality is required.
Marc
