Mechanical Heads Up view does not appear

Hi Sergi,

The heads-up Window 8 typically applies when Modifying a Mechanical component rather than during placement.   Is this something you remember seeing/doing before?

Yes, I was placing a Duct Fitting | Rectangular‐Wye and when wanted to rotate it via RT command, the heads-up view does not open. I have to first place the fitting and then modify it. I remember when placing fittings you could edit the position when the heads-up view appeared, not after..

Ok, thank you Latif, but I cannot see the enhancement in the workflow if I cannot edit the position of the fitting during placement. Is there any documentation that explains this enhancement?

Hi Sergi,

You can rotate the fitting and place it during placement, as earlier, while the fitting is on the cursor, shift the focus to accudraw and then press desired keyboard shortcut (like RT). Please refer the attached video. Let me know if it helped!

Hello Sergi,

As Latif's video shows you can activate AccuDraw to rotate the fittings: RT for rotate right, RW for rotate left, RR to rotate a fitting about itself (for example when placing rectangular-to-round takeoffs).

 I've found with the new workflow if I need to edit some values (for example W2, D2 and W3 and D3 of a wye fitting) I place the fitting and them double-click on it to activate the Modify Properties tool and edit the values as needed.
