I have copied the Dataset to our network and want to remove all of the unnecessary files that get loaded up by AECOsim. In the Catalog editor is it possible to remove the Disciplines that are not required? For example, can I remove Plumbing, Fire Protection and LPG from the list?
If we can't remove the discipline how can I delete the Items? when I right-click on an Item the Delete option is greyed out.
Hi Simon,
Can you please specify the reason why you are willing to delete those? Will using a filter help you to get the desired result?
Warm Regards,

hi Subhamoy
We will never have a need to use them so I was wondering if we can permanently remove them.
Will filtering increase performance?
Also I deleted the Catalog Type PlumbingFixtures from the Architectural discipline and now I have a warning for each Item saying that it references an invalid Catalog Type 'PlumbingFixtures'. The PlumbingFixtures.xml file is still under datagroupcatalogs but it is missing from the Catalog Editor. How do I fix this?
Here are the warnings from the DataGroup System Validator
Here is the list from the editor after I deleted some Catalog Types.
I don't think that you can remove the MEP stuff without causing problems. Post by Jeff Ashley somewhere.
