I discovered that same 'Section Callouts' have to be laboriously edited in the model separately from every sheet in the same file, this doesn't make sense! Worst if you reload the callout after editing (by clicking 'show callout' button'), it revert back to the default labels, you lose the amendments and all the hard work for nothing, that is horrible!
It seems these updates are getting nowhere or am I missing something?
Hi Ranit,
Thank you for showing me the indirect way to edit the callouts in 3D models. Please note, in the attached 'Multi-Model View' that callout 'SECTION C-C' refuses to update despite been edited in the properties dialogue box unlike all the others. What could possibly be wrong in this instance?
Ben,
Based on your screenshoot, I would assume it requires a 'refresh' to update, which happens when you close the multi-model view and open the 3D model (refer my video clip at 4min:32sec), or whenever you close and open the dgn file or when you use the keyin "field update all" when you are in View 1.
Best Regards,
RJ.
Hi RJ,
Many thanks for your assistance and sorry for confusing you with Ranit. That callout link was indicated as 'Invalid' therefore had to remove and replace with a fresh callout and it responded to the update.
Must say that this indirect way to edit 'Callouts' via property dialogue box is not ideal or intuitive to give it the desired look and feel. More work is needed to improve the user friendliness of the software in this area. If the callout could be edited direct and reflect effectively in all views, even in 3D mode, that would be supper.
Best Regards
Ben

Appreciate your time and suggestions. It would be great if you could create and log it as a service request describing the enhancements you would prefer, so that our team can do the needful.
Meanwhile, if you have not tried it before, may I also please suggest you to try the learning content "BIM QuickStart A103: Creating Architectural Drawings and Schedules" which provides additional guidance on creating drawings.

As a matter of interest, why can't you attach a video to 'reply'.?
Getting only error messages. How did you create the link for your video?
