How to create or to do tile flooring & floor finishes in aecosim ?
We just draw a 2D grid in 3D and model a slab extend underneath.
Easier to control, manipulate and change through the design process.
We do this for ceiling tiles as well.

Easier to control? What happens when you decide to make the tiles bigger and/or smaller?
To me, easier would only be if the grid is an actual pattern (cross hatch). Is that the same in your case? What Anik is describing is actually more quicker and controllable.
