Hi
I've created a parametric cell in the shape of a baseplate. And added attributes to it through the catalog editor. It's a square with four holes for screws. In total there's 7 definitions, for width, height, diameter of the holes, the distance from holes to edges and so on. The defult plate has som random dimensions. When I place this cell I always edit these definitions, more or less. But if I want the change the dimensions after placement by rightclicking the cell and chose modify, the definitions in the modify-tab are back to the default values, which mean I have to remember the dimensions I've already changed. Is there a way to get around this?

Hi Robert,Are you facing this issue with a particular parametric cell file? Can you please upload the mentioned cell file?
This is the case of all the cells I've created. But sure, here's a file.

Yes, Robert. It worked for me.
Looking at the image you have shared, looks like multiple elements are stacked one above the other. Is that so?
Best Regards,
RJ.
No I don't think it is. Don't know if the file could help?
Plate.dgn
Hi Robert,
I think Raguram was pointing out that it looks like multiple plates stacked on top of each other. When modifying the thickness you can see that one of these " layers" is adjusted but the others remain static. So I wonder if the outer dimensions are mapped to those same "static" layers?
Ok. That could be. I have to say I'm really confused about the difference between my and Ragurams mapping. And since it works for the one without hole, I seems something else than the mapping.
If you wanted to investigate a bit more in-depth you could file a Service Request.
