Hi
When I place e.g. a wall I choose both Catalog Type and then Catalog Item. These choices seem to get saved somewhere, are they? In that case, where?
Regards,
Robert
Hi Robert,
These preferences are saved in ABDStateData.xml which is located under your "prefs" folder.
Ok. I have some problem with it not saving, thought it may have something to do with the place it's saved, but that folder is writeable for all users. Must be something else then ...
That is odd... The ABDStateData.xml file is stored under the local \users folder along with all other preferences. Do you notice anything else unusual like this? For example, if you dock a dialog box along one side, after starting a new session is that dialog box where you left it?
No, docking and so on seems to work just fine.
Is there a particular configuration variable that points to the file I'm after, or is it included just by being in the prefs-folder?
I'm not aware of any variable that explicitly controls that one file.
If you place a wall that you haven't before, then exit OBD, does the time-stamp of that file not match up? Just trying to gauge whether changes are not being written to the file or not being read back in later sessions.
Hi again Steve.
I found this thread, seems to be what I'm looking for. But what variable decides where that .rsc-file is stored?

Ahh... forgot about that file. I'm not sure there is a specific pointer outside of TFDIR_DATA which designates the entire \dataset folder.
