About handrail

used OBD update5, We can see this promblem,But in another software(OPM),We see that ,About the projection lines below the railings

How to remove or eliminate? This problem has seriously affected the drawing problem of our design.。

this is opening using OPM CE update4   his is opening using OBD CE update5

Attached is the picture I drew with OBD update5. You open it with OPM CE. Is it bottom cable? There are two problems caused by projection lines. One is that it is impossible to export drawings in other formats, Another problem is too laggy graphics, which causes OPM to run very difficult, and the software system crashes.

Can you help me?

  • I've thought about your point of view carefully, and I feel that what you said is reasonable. Whether it's OBD U5 or ABD U4 or OPM CE, they are all different software, so there may be a contradiction between software upgrade and version difference, and there is a problem of incompatibility. But the actual problem is that the versions used by our colleagues in the Department are different, and there will be problems in the general assembly process. How to solve this problem A question, do you have any good suggestions? Besides building compound cells?

  • Hi Ruan,

FWIW, Compound Cells are unique to OpenBuildings/AECOsim Building Designer, in that they include 2D symbols and perforators.  Only MicroStation's Parametric Cell functionality with Name Presentations and Perforators offers similar abilities but that is still in Technology Preview mode.

Your last question is not completely clear - "But the actual problem is that the versions used by our colleagues in the Department are different, and there will be problems in the general assembly process. How to solve this problem A question, do you have any good suggestions? Besides building compound cells?"     Compound Cells have not changed between AECOsim Update 4 and OpenBuildings Update 5 so those should be interchangeable, but how does OPM factor in to their creation and/or use?
