When this works this is a real time saver, but I do emphasise 'When'. Far too often the extractions start losing the transparency for no apparent reason and it can be next to impossible to have then work again.
Has anyone found a quick, sure fire way to get the transparency working on extraction again?

WOOPS :-)
Hi Sean,
Please can you describe your method just we approach answering from the right direction.
Marc
We model grating at top of steel and have it on a part with a material set in the render properties. In DEM we place the cut just above the top of the grating and if things go well then the transparency setting will allow the steel underneath to resymbolise fully without it coming out on the hidden line settings. This works fine for a while, but in many cases the transparency stops working and the steel below the grating comes out on hidden line setting rather than full line. Only way around it it to cut the grating separately. We do this as we also add a pattern to the grating to show extents. Saves us a lot of post extraction work.
