BIM standards are being developped at high speed in most of the European countries.
To be able to join larger BIM projects, architecs will need the ability to work with several LOD (000 - 500) depending on the phase of the project. the link below describes these LOD levels.

Using spaces, floor manager, catalog explorer will help us to change walls to compound walls, windows, doors etc, but we are still missing thes thing for slabs, roofs etc.
it also would be nice to have a simplified and more detailed level for doors, windows etc.
Is Bentley developping tools that will make the changing of LOD easier in the future?

yes we urgently need this feature to meet the minimum requirements of our customers. Wherever BIM is prescribed in contests, reference is made to "level of detail/development/accuracy", which becomes an absolute turnoff when we cannot meet the minimum requirements of what is generally regarded as the BIM standard. see also the attached link.:www.lodplanner.com/.../
I would suggest filing a Service Request with support so that it can be linked to an appropriate Enhancement request. The more, the better.
