hi,
After using asset manager in ORD to assign the data in the element, the data cannot be reflected in OBD schedule such as chainage.
should I do it in OBD to direct input or using asset manager ?
Chainage: I would stay in ORD. Asset Manager is supposedly based on Item Types which should be scheduleable in OBD.
Have you tried exporting to i.dgn and referencing that in OBD?
I'm not familiar with ORD, but keep in mind that OBD's DataGroup schedules can only report objects that have instance data attached using the DataGroup schema, which is different than MicroStation based Item Types. Do you have both schema types in these files, only Item Types?
You are correct OBD is datagroup schem base and ORD is Item base.
i tried to add the ORD item into the datagroup. Sure that it cannot be called out.
better to have a method to link up those information.
Would a combined report similar to the one described here work for you?

the fist method cannot, becuase you won't be able to find any properties in ORD
the second method is not straight forward. u need to "click" or "select" the elements so that the both ORD asset manager info and OBD datagroup can be shown in the schedule.
it's horrible and too difficult to filter out the elements.
Using Dominic's earlier comment, if you were to publish an iModel from OBD which converts the DataGroup schema properties to Items, can they then be used on the ORD side of the fence? I know nothing about ORD so am just shooting in the dark.
