I have forgotten how to fill an enclosed area with elements. Launching the "Flood Filling Bucket" command I get the region created and high-lighted but I cannot proceed to chose the element I want to fill up with. Seems I¨m missing a step somewhere? Any idea?
Thanks,
Ingemar Saevfors
Hi Ingemar,
Please check the prompt in the status bar at the lower left of the AECOsim window, this will tell you what the current tool is expecting you to do next:
If you want to add a fill to existing elements, their fill property can be altered from None to Opaque or Gradient and the appropriate colour selected.

OK, maybe I was remembering wrong; thinking I could flood-fill a closed area with solids (elements), not just colors. Thanks anyway,
Ingemar
Exactly what outcome are you looking for? We may be able to suggest and appropriate method.
Hi again,
I'm designing a prefab wall panel out of solid elements, all the same type. There is a frame and inside it a huge number of these smaller solids should fill up. Of course I can use array copying but flood-filling should intuitively make more sense and perhaps be more natural looking, not so rigid. Any ideas welcome.
Possibly the MicroStation parametric array tool might be appropriate, please can you send us an image or two of what you are designing?
