Hi everyone! Now I have to work with AECOsim v8i SS6.I create catalogs for pipes, valves and so on.
I need to create my own unique plumbing element and place it in the dgn file.I found this instruction for creating and placing an element. It is very important that the element has pipe connection points.communities.bentley.com/.../placing-user-defined-static-cell-as-custom-plumbing-component
Today I did everything as indicated in this lesson. But I got a problem. When I enter a key-in to place my element, everything seems to work. BUT!The 3D geometry is not under the cursor. That is, as I understand it, a program cannot read a cell from a library.
The same problem exists if I change to another cell in the "cell symbol" definition, then nothing changes.
Please, help. I’ve been looking for solutions for several days.Today I found a lesson that was supposed to help me, but alas, something in the end went wrong. Thanks!
Hi Alexander,
Can you please make sure that the OO, 0X, 0Y and 0Z are defined correctly in the CONN model? They should have the exact same coordinates corresponding to the 3D model.

Satadal
i have the same question ,i am working with Openbuidlings
the step to create custom cell in CE is totally diffrerent from v8i
Hi Satadal. Thanks a lot for your help! I managed to place the item. The problem was in the correct position of the connectors.
But at the moment, I can’t do one more thing. The component is placed, the pipes are connected, the movement of the component works, but the wrong pipe diameter is set.I apply screenshots. Please tell me what could be the problem.
Thanks.
I'm sorry. Everything in my head was already mixed up. I misplaced the pipe.
Everything was decided and everything works!Thank you so much for your help!
