Hi All,
I working on one big project. it has many phases. My engineer wants all elements as per different phases.
I created the Space model and now I want to do elements bounding so that we can add new Datagroup property like Space Name to all elements as per there spaces.
Which helps us to quantify the elements as per phases. I also tried to find a solution in GC, But I cant find it.
In Solibri model checker we can categorize elements as per Spaces.
I have many discipline models. if I will do manually, it will take a long time. and if we can use any automated process so that will be helpful.
Or is there any way so that I can edit DataGroup property selected elements ( wall, slab, beam, ....)..
Hi Shobhit,
If you want to edit the Datagroup property of wall slab, beams, then you can try out our excel exchange option. Kindly have a look at this link below:

If you still face issues, I would request you to please raise a Service Request.

HI Sanchayan,
Thanks for your Reply. But My question is, Are there any Object Space Bunding process so that it automatically differentiates the elements as per there spaces.
Thanks,

There are tools to select objects within a Space. After they are selected, you can add Spaces info as a datagroup attribute. See this month's OBD SIG for a demo on how to add attributes to your DGS definition.
Automated spaces attribute tagging: not aware of any out of the box solution. You could probably do this using GC as an on demand update tool.
It would be interesting to see if this can be implemented as a callback in OBD's manipulation tools, which would trigger a check whenever the object is moved etc. I understand that OBD's Join and HUD dim function are proximity based so it should be quick..?
