I think I have a config problem with the Catalogs.
When trying to "Place Slab" there is no catalog data showing in the dialog box and the program crashes immediately.
I don't have this problem when placing steel members.
Anyone have any ideas about where I may be going wrong?
AECOSim ver 6
Hi Bob,
It seems that there is some mismatch in corresponding catalog item for slabs. It would be helpful in investigation if you can kindly file a Service Request so that we can probably look at the issue via online meeting session.
Warm Regards,
Subhamoy Kundu
Try looking for a file named slabszs.rsc in the Data folder within your dataset. If you have one, ask all users to close AECOsim, then delete (or rename with .bak) the file. Start AECOsim and see if that has helped.

Hi Mark,
I did as you suggested but it still doesn't work.
I now have a problem with Catalog Editor and Definition Editor not working (nothing to do with your suggestion)
They were working OK yesterday but I have been playing with the configs to try to solve the Place Slab problem.
I compared my original cfg files with my new ones but there is nothing obviously wrong that I can see.
I even tried running the old build where they were working, but now they don't ????
I tried running dgCatalogEditor.exe and dgdefinitioneditor.exe directly but I got an error message saying that code
execution cannot continue because ClassificationSystem.dll was not found.
It is there.
I also tried a program repair but that did nothing either.
I am in the middle of a new Aecosim build and I have a group of designers who can't place slabs right now without crashing.
Apparently this problem also happened to the previous CAD administrator, but he somehow found a way around it.
I've tried for two days now and I can't find the fault.
I just did another delete of slabszs.rsc after the repair but to no avail.
