Hi
When I create a drawing from placing a callout the dialog "create drawing" shows. I often want the new drawing in a separate new file. So I thick the box for Filename and click the create drawing:
As shown in the picture, the seed for the new file is set to designseed. Even though the configuration variable MS_DRAWINGMODELSEED is set to Drawingseed.dgn (which is the name of the drawingseed, and placed in the same folder as the designseed.dgn).
(The same goes for sheets).
Is this how it should work, or is there something wrong with my configuration?
Robert
Hi Robert,
I noticed the same behavior at my end. However, I also noticed, that the seed selected while placing the callout is the one based on which the Model view is created in the new file. Hence, your drawing is going to be in that model view.
Have you tried selecting a different seed while creating the new file to save the drawing in? If so, what did you find?

Satadal
I'm not really sure what you mean?
Sure I can change the seed to drawingseed.dgn, but it's often forgotten in the process.Which means I have to delete the model, and create a new callout.
