When using the place timber floor joist at a spacing tool; prompted to select first supporting member - error message comes up 'Element not valid for tool'
No matter which element (wall, door window....) that I try to select, I get this same message. Any ideas as to what might be the problem here?

I was trying to place this between two walls which it obviously doesn't like......for example a simple suspended floor using joist hangers which is not an unusual form of construction.

Currently this tool requires supporting beams. The case you highlight is obvious. There are alternative methods to place joist between walls, shown below, but I can see that it would be helpful if the current tool was enhanced.

Thanks Marc. I understand the principles of copy, array, etc. but as this tool is within the structural tasks, it would make sense if the different options were available.
