Hi
I want a box around my text in the annotation cells. But I want the box to adjust after the length of the text. Is this possible?
Regards,
Robert
Hi Robert,
You can try and use a Text style with a Background assigned. The Border adjust to the Text length. Please let us know whether this helps. Thanks & Regards!
Hi, thanks. Not quite. I display two properties, so it looks like this for me with your solution:
Guess it's because I can't find a way to include both properties in the same text element.
I would like one border to include both properties.
Nevermind, I see now that it wouldn't work any way:
I thought it would be one frame around the complete textelement, but it seems thats not how it works:
Although you may try & edit the graphics in the annotation cell to move the two text elements further apart, and change the x/y offsets of the box:Thanks & Regards,
You mean I should have one text field with a frame, offset much in the bottom to make space for the next text field as well?
It won't work if the second text field is longer than the first, and that I can't know in advance.
We do not currently have a way to put an automatically resizable box around multiple text items in an annotation cell. Please file an enhancement requesting this. The annotation cell has a bounding range that in principle perhaps could be used to generate an outline (but I'm not a developer so don't know what effort/complexity that might involve).
Marc
Ok, thanks. I'll file I request.
