Change Datagroup Properties to Active Settings tool?

There are the following tools: 

• Match Element Properties for Mstn symbology etc.
• Match Form Attributes for the Family and Parts TFMATCH ATTRIBUTES.
• Match Element Properties for the Datagroup properties.

And

• Change Element Properties for Mstn symbology etc
• Apply Part for Family and Parts TFAPPLY PART
• Change Type tool for the Datagroup properties.

The problem with the Change Type tool is that it seems to be only accessible when the user selects another Catalog Item (or Wall etc Type) from the Modify Properties panel. And when it does, it resets to the default property values defined in the Catalog Item xml.

This is a big problem as OBD's datagroup system is geared to using 'instance' parameters that allows the same Door type to have multiple widths, for example. Whilst this is a good thing generally, you will want to be able to transfer property values between Doors etc on a granular and regular basis. Manual re-typing is not productive and error-prone. Even in the Schedules / Edit-in-Excel tool.

There should be a separate tool that changes the Datagroup properties to match the active tool's active properties. This would match and bring things into line with the other tool layers (Mstn, Triforma F&P).
