Getting MicroStation quantities in Assemble (Autodesk)

Has anyone been able to get DGN model quantities into Assemble (Autodesk software)?

From what I know, when converting DGN (or I.DGN) to DWG, the quantity properties don't transfer over to DWG. I've thought about trying to export a schedule or report from Microstation and then trying to map it to elements in Autodesk softwares to bring model quantity properties into Assemble. Would appreciate any insight anyone has on this. Thank you!

  • Felice,  I dont think this is possible, certainly not using dwg files. When we covert to dwg we have to convert the geometry into something the dwg files understand i.e. dwg element types.  I dont think these element types support the  data you are hoping to transfer across.

I know nothing about Autodesk Assemble and which file formats it supports. What are you attempting to do inside Assemble?
