Floor Manager - Elevation Annotation Settings

I am running into an issue with the Elevation Annotation Settings in the Floor Manager defaulting back to the original settings after I apply changes. Is there a variable that locks these settings? I am using OpenBuildings v10.12.0.41.

  • Hello Ruston,

1.Follow this path for finding version of OBD. Go to file>Help>About OpenBuildings Designer.

2.To save the changes in floor manager settings. Go to file>Save Settings. This will help to save the changes made in any settings.

Please let me know if this helps.

  • Thanks Swati,

    1. OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition Update 5 - Version 10.05.00.49

    2. If I open the Floor Manager in my active file the default settings appear, as shown in defaultsettings.png, but if I change any settings, as shown in usersettings.png, and go to file>Save Settings none of the users settings save. The next time I click on settings the default settings appear again. This leads me to believe that there that something is locked not allowing me to edit the settings.

If I open the BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib the settings button is grayed out because it's a dgnlib but if I am in that file where can I find the settings that control the annotations?

  • Hello Ruston,

For annotation in OpenBuildings Designer you may have a look here. There are three wikis to help you with all annotation related customization that would like to have.
For all Settings that you would like to save just go to the search ribbon> search for configuration variables> enter BB_SUPPRESS_TOOLBOX_AUTOOPEN> Edit it's value, set =1 and this should allow you save all settings henceforth you set and do a save settings in OBD tool bar.

Please let us know whether this has been of help.

    Thanks & Regards!
