I need to install several versions of OBD. Each one is for a specific project. As you are aware if I install OBD 3 and then 4 or 5 or 6 etc, it will override the previous version.
How can I have multiple versions installed so I can interact with the various projects.?
Ian
Hi Ian,
Sorry, Multiple version installation is not possible for OBD CE at this point. You can use Virtual machines OR any other physical machines for this.

Hi Sandeep
Thank you for the reply. however, we have to have a solutions which doesn't involve a VPi.
Yes agree, will discuss this with product management.
Thanks and Regards,
As an example, I am working on several huge infrastructure projects... each having its own requirements of software used....
1 = AECOSIm SS6
2 = OBD update 3
3 = OBD Update 4
4 = OBD update 6
I need to be able to open each version depending on my requirements for that day. Each version will have its own setup/Workspaces/Worksets etc. I cannot have 4 x VM's in play
With Revit they can install each version separately. I need the same in OBD world and in some cases MS too. PW doesn't support MS CE update 14 yet, but the office has update 14 as its default, so again I need to make project specifics versions to suit the project requirements.
This is an urgent requirement
Thank you
Ian,
AECOSim SS6 and OBD CE [Any one update ] can stay together at this point.
I would suggest that you should kindly raise Service Ticket.
Hi. I guess there's nothing in place yet? For me there's a big change between Update 6 and update 7 which will require the two updates installed at the same time.
Robert,
No, multiple install is not possible of OBD CE builds, I would suggest you should kindly raise the service ticket.
Any news on this? With the incompatibility between the latest versions with the earlier datasets, it would be interesting to install 2 versions.
