Missing Level and Object In Dynamic View Drawing

AECOsim Building Designer SS6. Version - 08.11.09.829

Hi All,

Below is a complete model of 3D Stairs

I have applied a section callout from the sheet model as shown below:

But unfortunately, my handrail objects and levels (S-G34-M_HandrailPanel) are not displaying in the resultant drawing as shown below. However, i have checked the level S-G34-M_HandrailPanel is set to display in all views.

Has anyone ever experienced this? if so, please share your solution with me

Thank you

  • Hi Henry,

This appears to be caused by a combination of working outside the SWA and using a MicroStation seed file with too low resolution (AECOsim requires 1000UOR/mm). These issue affect complex geometries such as small diameter tubes more seriously than simpler objects, please see our response to your SR for more detail and our test  files.

  • Hi Marc,

I have looked through the model you supplied in response to my service request to this topic and it is quite obvious to me now that the SWA resolution is the major cause of this snag. Meanwhile, i have now changed the resolution for my drawing model similar to that of the default AECOsim seed but its causing other problems for me. Dimensions, sizes and geospatial coordinates of objects in my models have now been distorted.

Unfortunately, i have gone too far on my current project to reinvent the wheel regards SWA resolution at this stage and suffice to say that, geospatial coordination is key element required for this particular project.

I am thinking of manually (using line tool) sketching the handrails on the drawing model to augment the missing detail or do you have any other suggestions apart from changing my SWA resolution?
